| This is Bayern's next game for the liga pokal after the 4-1 win against Bremen. They are playing against last year's Bundesliga Champions, Stuttgart. If Bayern wins they are going to the final where Schalke is waiting for them. |

| I read that Stuttgart also have a few injury worries ahead of the match. I think if we play in the same way we played against Bremen, we should win against Stuttgart. |

German soccer powerhouse Schalke 04 defeated German Cup winners Nuremberg 4-2 on Tuesday night to advance to the final of the German League Cup.
Robert Vittek scored for Nuremberg in the 20th minute, but his efforts turned out to be in vain as Levan Kobiashvili, Fabian Ernst and Peter Lovenkrands made three quick goals for Schalke within seven minutes just before half-time.
During the second half, however, Heiko Westermann made it 4-1 in the 58th minute before Vittek scored again in the 73rd.
Schalke, who were runners-up to Stuttgart in the German top league Bundesliga last season, will now face the winner of Wednesday's another semi-final between Stuttgart and Bayern Munich.
Schalke won the League Cup in 2005.
The six-team tournament, with 5.2 million euros prize money, involves the top four sides in the Budesliga last season, German Cup winners Nuremberg and second division champions Karlsruhe.
The final will be played in Leipzig on Saturday. |

| Klose didn't train yesterday and that's why he didn't play today. What a game by Ribery! And also Altintop had a couple of great long range efforts and was unlucky not to score. |

Man, this team plays absolutely great.
What will happen when Schlaudraff, Toni and Sosa get healthy. I mean, i like it these way (playing with only one forward). |

In the final on Saturday, Bayern will play Schalke, which beat Nuremberg 4-2 on Tuesday.
Ribery scored in the eight minute and was involved in the move that led to Sandro Wagner's goal in the 66th. |

After scoring two goals on his competitive debut in Bayern’s 4-1 win over Werder Bremen in Saturday’s quarter-final, Franck Ribery was again commanding in Stuttgart.
Having cost Bayern 26 million euros from Marseille this summer, the French international is already proving his worth alongside German star Bastian Schweinsteiger in Munich’s midfield.
Ribery fired Bayern ahead on eight minutes and after Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld opted to play a lone striker, 19-year-old Sandro Wagner, the youngster sealed the win with a goal on 66 minutes.
Bayern took the lead when Dutch midfielder Mark van Bommel slid a pass through to Wagner, promoted from Bayern’s reserves, and the teenager set up Ribery who drove his shot past Stuttgart’s diving goalkeeper Raphael Schaefer.
Bayern held the 1-0 lead into the break until Wagner prospered from Ribery’s pass to stab the ball home from six metres as the Frenchman returned the favour.
After Schalke beat 4-2 Nuremberg in Tuesday’s other semi-final, with German international striker Kevin Kuranyi in impressive form, Bayern will face the Royal Blues in Leipzig in Saturday’s final. |

Stuttgart rarely posed a threat to Michael Rensing in the Bayern goal, leaving Ottmar Hitzfeld's troops to ease into the League Cup final where they will play Schalke 04 on Saturday.
Schalke, who were runners-up to Stuttgart in the German top league Bundesliga last season, won the League Cup in 2005.
The six-team tournament, with 5.2 million euros prize money, involves the top four sides in the Bundesliga last season, German Cup winners Nuremberg and second division champions Karlsruhe.
The final will be played in Leipzig on Saturday. |
