| Spanish football is not bad. I saw Barcelona play once so I have a soft spot for them. However, I am getting a little sick of them. I just don't know what it is but man, oh, man, they can really grate one's nerves. LOL!! Perhaps it's because of Henry, Ronaldinho, and the coach's hair, which I won't say what it looks like. LOL!!! |

The Globe and Mail
FC Barcelona overcame a sluggish start to beat Recreativo Huelva 3-0 in the Spanish league.
Gabriel Milito put Barcelona ahead with a header in the 64th minute, and substitute Bojan Krkic doubled the lead two minutes later. Lionel Messi added the third from the penalty spot in the 81st.
Barcelona was missing star playmaker Ronaldinho, who was rested ahead of Tuesday's Champions League game at Lyon.
The game was marked by a shoving match between players in the 77th minute after a series of tough fouls, forcing both coaches to run onto the field to control their teams.
Barcelona has 27 points, one behind leader Real Madrid which played Murcia later Saturday.
Also, Fernando Varela scored on a long shot for Mallorca, which beat Sevilla 2-1 to pick up its fifth win of the season. Ariel Ibagaza opened for Mallorca in the 16th, and Frederic Kanoute scored for Sevilla.
Mallorca improved to 19 points while Sevilla stayed at 15 after its seventh loss. The UEFA Cup champion trails only last-place Levante in losses this season. |
