Saturday 21 July, Düsseldorf, quarter-final 1 (3.30 pm)
Schalke 04 v Karlsruher SC

Saturday 21 July, Düsseldorf, quarter-final 2 (6 pm)
Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich

Tuesday 24 July, Nuremberg, semi-final 1 (8.30 pm)
1. FC Nürnberg v winner QF 1

Wednesday 25 July, Stuttgart, semi-final 2 (8.30 pm)
VfB Stuttgart - winner QF 2

Saturday 28 July, Leipzig, final (6 pm)
Winner SF1 v Winner SF2

-The winner of Bundesliga 2 (Karlsruher SC) plays with second ranked team of Bundesliga 1(Schalke 04)

-3rd ranked team in Bundesliga 1 (Werder Bremen) play with 4th ranked team(Bayern Munchen)
-Stuttgart who won the Bundesliga waits in the semi-final for either Bremen or Bayern
-Nurember who won the German cup waits for either Karsruher or Schalke in semi-final...

That's the liga pokal, don't be confused with the title above, Premiere League Cup (they are the same thing)

The season-opening League Cup has been shelved for next year, on account of the EURO 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland.

The supervisory and executive boards of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH have decided, in conjunction with league association executive, to put the 2008 tournament on ice.

League President and Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Reinhard Rauball said, "The competition cannot take place in any sensible sporting fashion, due to EURO 2008. For that reason, we have decided not to run the League Cup."

The League Cup has been played out as a pre-season competition every summer since 1997. FC Bayern München have won six of the eleven tournaments to date.

I wonder if they'll do it in 2009... a lot of clubs were against having it in the first place, because they'd rather do preseason tours in places like Asia and the US and get a lot more money.
