The France/Italy game is going to be the game to watch. There has been so much crap being said that should make this game quite interesting to watch.

Malta's game will be on Setanta Sports North America. I'm going to have to watch it.

Will the Northern Ireland striker Healy bang a couple more goals? He is on a roll.

OOOOOOOOOleeeeejjj! Malta drew against Turkey! 2-2 the final score. Malta could have even won this one! I was at the stadium as well Mutu. There was a great atmosphere! Altintop didn't do anything special but I enjoyed watching him play against Malta.

Servet saves Turkey in Malta

Servet Çetin rescued a point for Turkey in Malta after the islanders had threatened to mark the Victory Day public holiday with a famous UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying win.

'Winning mentality'
Malta have shown signs of improvement under Dušan Fitzel and the Czech coach had called on his players to adopt "a winning mentality" against their more illustrious visitors. Fitzel would have been delighted with the response as Brian Said (41) and Andre Schembri (76) twice put the home team in front, only for Turkey to quickly draw level on each occasion through Halil Altıntop (45) and Servet Çetin (7Cool. Still, it was two points dropped for Fatih Terim's men who are now four points behind leaders Greece after seven Group C outings.

Early action
An exciting game appeared in prospect right from the off in Ta' Qali, as Tuncay Sanli and Michael Mifsud traded early shots off target, although it was Said who truly ignited proceedings: the defender shooting past Hakan Arıkan following Roderick Briffa's corner. Turkey hit back almost immediately, İbrahim Üzülmez crossing from the right for Halil Altıntop to score with a powerful drive.

Stubborn rearguard
After the interval, Turkey began to dominate possession but were unable to find a way past a stubborn Maltese rearguard. Against the run of play, Malta retook the lead with 14 minutes remaining. Mifsud crossed from the left and Schembri drilled a low effort into the corner to send the home fans into raptures. Yet once again their joy was short-lived: Servet Çetin heading in Hamit Altıntop's cross with aplomb. Mifsud could have snatched a late victory for the hosts, but his fine form with Coventry City FC in England deserted the diminutive front man as he shot wide.

Woohooooooooooooo well done Malta! Smile

I need to see a replay of that goalmouth action in injury time though, I'm pretty sure I saw a clear handball by a Turk inside the box, through my binoculars Smile

For Malta, this is like a win Smile I was carcading in the streets hehe. Then I went to watch the second half of the Germany match, and Klose scored the second goal as soon as I arrived. Guess I got lucky or something today Smile

I was watching Italy/France game today (replayed) while doing my paper on cognitive development theory and I almost died laughing while watching it. Ray Hudson, a commentator on GOLTV, said that Gattuso, who was on the ground with one heck of a nasty look on his face, looked like a T-Rex with hemorroids. LOL!!! I swear Ray comes up with the funniest analogies out there.

Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery, one of the standout midfielders during a tough-tackling stalemate at the San Siro, was encouraged by France's performance against the world champions in an electric atmosphere.

“It was not an easy match. They wanted to win in front of their crowd so it is a good result here at the San Siro against a difficult team to play against,” Ribery told reporters.

“Now the match against Scotland is important. If we win, I think we will have played two good matches.”

France, who will miss Henry for Wednesday's match after the striker picked up a booking for tripping Fabio Cannavaro, have 19 points with Scotland second on 18 after their 3-1 win over Lithuania. Italy are in third on 17.

Henry will miss the match through suspension after being booked during the goalless draw with World Cup holders Italy in Milan on Saturday, but Ribery is confident the French will still be a threat in front of goal.

The Bayern Munich player told L'Equipe: "We will miss him a lot against Scotland and it's really a pity that he got booked.

"He played a good match (against Italy) and I would have liked him to score. But there are other players who can replace him on Wednesday."

France coach Raymond Domenech has plenty of options. Nicolas Anelka could play on his own up front or David Trezeguet could come in alongside him as France seek revenge for the 1-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Scots at Hampden Park earlier in the qualifying competition.

Scotland's excellent form has put them second in Group B and victory on Wednesday would put them in charge of the pool.

Their 3-1 victory over Lithuania on Saturday helped Alex McLeish's side leapfrog Italy in the group with the World Cup winners facing a tough trip to Ukraine on Wednesday.

France goalkeeper Mickael Landreau is one of the players that have acquired a new respect for Scottish football.

Looking back on the Italy game, he said: "We got a good point but now we will have to consolidate that by getting three against Scotland.

"We know the Scots will be up for the game and that it will be a difficult match. That's why we did not speak only about Italy and we knew the match at the Parc (des Princes) would be decisive."

Henry is not the only selection worry for Domenech, the man who led Les Bleus to the 2006 World Cup final last year.

William Gallas is considered unlikely to play which means that once more Julien Escude could partner Lilian Thuram in the centre of defence.
