Re: PSV target Bayern strikers

Claudio Pizarro (pictured) is believed to be the Dutch club's first choice, but Roy Makaay could also be a possibility.

PSV are also thought to have been keeping tabs on Roque Santa Cruz, but the Paraguayan has no interest in playing in the Eredivisie.

Pizarro is willing to leave Bayern at the end of the season, but PSV will likely face competition for his services.

Clubs in Spain, Italy and England are interested in the Peruvian striker's services.

Makaay is considered the alternative for PSV with just one year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern will likely look for attacking reinforcements in the summer so the 32-year-old Dutchman could be surplus to requirements.

Kick them out both. From next year we will have, podolski , possibly Toni and Schaudaff and a youngster from the second team probably.

I hope not!
Toni isn't so much better to Makaay in my opinion, Pizarro is better than Schlaudraff, Podolski we had this season as well, and probably Santa Cruz is better (hard to believe, huh?) than the youngster from the second team.

In all, I'd say it's a step back, and the board want to improve on this season. I doubt we will sell 3 of our strikers. But if we do, we will sign 2/3 more players and not just Toni.... perhaps Afonso Alves.

ummm...well Toni will score 5 goals more minimum in thr Bundesliga than Makaay....he score plenty of goals in the Seria which is a harder competition than Bundesliga, though I´d rather see someone else cause he´s 30 and italian....

yeah true , though well i have no idea why we signed that Schlaudraff dude, i mean look at him , he is not even a professional football player. He got suspended because he didn't perform as expected after he signed to Bayern.

Pizarro is hell of a striker but his attitude OMG

Makaay is getting old, he is obvisouly not performing and that is normal.

Podolski , again our young "star", i don't know what wrong with him but i do believe he will regain his striking ability.

Santa Cruz, god dont even mention him. He cant even pass the ball to one of his team mates.

Toni, i do think he will bring the change in front of our midfielders. Maybe he is 30 or something..but he will be a nightmare for the opposite defence.

Alves, hmm , a very promising attacker but we are not too sure if he can perform in the Bundesliga.

The controversial "youngster" from our second team if we dont sign anyone , well i dont know who that migh tbe but hope that he is going to be a good outcome ,an unexpected one..

Today Makaay said to a Dutch TV station he is not yet ready to return to The Netherlands. He declares himself fit and good enough to stay in Munich. And he did not get any signals from the club's board that he can leave. With Podolski, Toni (if he signes) and sub Makaay you already have nice options upfront.

PSV wanted Pizzaro, Santa, Makaay, they won't get one of them.

But of course things might change in summer. But for now, no Makaay returning to our league.

Makaay's position looks safe for next season. Rummenigge confirmed today that Bayern were satisfied with Roy and that he still has one year in his contract. (source: de.sports.yahoo.com)

So with Makaay staying and Toni probably coming, the attack is likely to be Toni, Poldi, Makaay, and Schlaudraff for next season.

The picture is getting clearer every day (or supposedly clearer): Toni (1), Jansen (2), Schlaudraff, Altintop, Sosa (3, 4 and 5). And since Hitzfeld said he expects exactly seven new players, we still have two spots to fill: Ze and Klose?? The latter seems unlikely...

i wish the 7 new signings didnt include the already confirmed ones but yeah that attacking strike force looks fairly sufficient in my opinion. 1 great striker, 2 decent and 1 reserve.

If we get Klose...then Makaay has to leave..there is no other way..
I think Toni is confirmed and chances of signing Klose look extremely high..
Rummenigge must have made those comments assuming that we won't be signing Klose.

Rummenigge must have made those comments assuming that we won't be signing Klose

But those comments were also made after the board presented the list of potential targets... so if he is still "assuming" that Klose won't come till now, then, the likelihood of Makaay staying is much bigger than Klose coming.

i wish the 7 new signings didnt include the already confirmed ones

That's the real mystery here! The press is talking as if the three players who already joined are part of the total seven. But the 120 millions euros seem too big. Sosa, Schlaudraff and Altintop cost us 7.2 millions in transfer fees. Toni would cost around 20. Jansen around 7 million. Ze is for free. So the addition would be: 34.2 million euros in transfer fees for six players (excluding the wages). Our profits alone were 30 million euros, not to mention we'll be selling Hargreaves for a simewhat similar sum.

So I really dunno, we've been promised a spending spree, and so far we've seen nothing of it, if the names suggested by the press are true.

Oh, and sorry for getting out of topic. :D

yes, explained well. as you are saying, it doesnt seem like (or shouldnt be like) that the new 7 signings will include the already confirmed 3. also they said they would make changes in EVERY area of the team so another 3/4 signings wouldnt really cut it essentially (but probably could?).
with that being said, maybe this is a good sign that we will be getting a new CB (hopefully to replace van buyten -delpierre?) and a WB , most likely being jansen?

but can't be only these players. We almost need a one midfielder to give a image to bayern like robben, quaresma. our midfield cant be sosa, vbommel, ze, schweini. there isn't improve.

i think that the new players will be schlaudraff, altintop, sosa, toni, jansen, zé roberto and after one or two midfielders more: a winger and a new hargreaves, and if van buyten leaves a defender.

so almost we will have 7 new players and i think that in a hard case until 9

Mr.X--------vbommel--------zé/Mr.X2--------schweinsteiger
sosa-------altintop-----------ottl----------------zé/jansen
