of course! even if we dont get klose, i think makaay should go. he in my opinion is one of the guilty this season for not putting in enough effort and doesnt deserve another chance.

if pizarro, santa cruz and makaay (all who have played to a below-par level) leave, we will have podolski and toni. plus schlaudraff and sosa have the ability to play striker or CF as well so i dont think it would be a problem if these players go at all.

...And I feel Schlaudraff was brought in to warm the bench.

Everyone wants Klose, I understand, but how realistic is it that he will change Werder for one of the huge rivals. Wouldn't even give it 1%. You will lose 3 strikers: Santa, Pizarro and Makaay. Bayern better look for some cheap but prolific guys and buy Toni.

Schlaudraff might be something in future.

Funnily enough, this was Pizarro's best season at Bayern. However, he's now being too greedy.

i disagree, unless we buy a better attacking midfielder then it seems that he he would fit well in the attacking line up. but if what ur saying is true then im sure he would be a regular sub and a good one at that.

06/07:
games 30 / goals: 7 / assists: 4

02/03:
games: 31 / goals: 15 / assists: 5

I'm to lazy to count the minutes played but 02/03 looks much better

He disappointed this year and therefore he doesn't get a new contract

especially when he was asking an absurd amount too. he was demanding he be paid 4.5 mill a year or something, what shevchenko gets paid. pizarro never truly impressed.

I remember the quote that Honess said...."if he wants the same pay as Shevchenko, then he needs to play like Shevchenko." That was Pizarro's problem, he played well at times but he showed that he didn't deserve that type of pay. But, I need to add that none of the strikers this season have been superb. :D

I wouldn't be upset if Makaay left but I wouldn't be disappointed either.

yeah its sad that pizarro considers himself to be world class. clearly he is not and has never been and never will. i would in fact be disappointed if he stayed honestly.

Pizarro better than Makaay  In my opinion Pizarro doesn't even have half of the class Makaay possesses. Add his caracter to it and its clear that its time to move on for him.

Pizarro will never reach the status of top player. He will never be able come near to Makaay's impressive career. Banging in goals everywhere.

Makaay might be getting too old, Pizarro should be at his best now. And he still isn't better.

UPDATE:

I just read at our website www.vi.nl (kind of kicker.de) that PSV is interested in taking Pizarro and/or Makaay...

We should keep Makaay because he is a good player who i would like to see finish his career in Munich and this year lets be honest he isnt getting anything played to him in good positions from the wings or midfield.

PSV target Bayern strikers

Postby charger256 on Tue May 01, 2007 5:51 pm

PSV Eindhoven have reportedly set their sights on bringing in a striker from Bayern Munich in the summer.

Claudio Pizarro (pictured) is believed to be the Dutch club's first choice, but Roy Makaay could also be a possibility.

PSV are also thought to have been keeping tabs on Roque Santa Cruz, but the Paraguayan has no interest in playing in the Eredivisie.

Pizarro is willing to leave Bayern at the end of the season, but PSV will likely face competition for his services.

Clubs in Spain, Italy and England are interested in the Peruvian striker's services.

Makaay is considered the alternative for PSV with just one year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern will likely look for attacking reinforcements in the summer so the 32-year-old Dutchman could be surplus to requirements.
